Sandy, pebble, naturist, accessible, urban, unspoiled, to disconnect, enjoy with family, diving ... And so up to 13 coves and beaches that gives us La Vila Joiosa in its 15 km of coastline to enjoy the Mediterranean.
The diversity and quality of the waters and facilities, together with the point of accessible beaches that every summer (from July to September) is launched in the Center Beach to facilitate access to bathing to all people with reduced mobility, make La Vila Joiosa, and its natural heritage, in the coastal reference of the Costa Blanca.
GASTRONOMY
Gastronomy is one of the most outstanding elements of the rich intangible heritage of La Vila Joiosa. Fishing has been, and is, one of the main economic activities of the city, so the sea has been the usual pantry of the Vila Joiosa kitchens.
But not only the sea feeds the gastronomy of La Vila Joiosa. The vegetable garden has also supplied the Vila Joiosa kitchens with unique products that have given rise to tasty traditional recipes: pebrereta, savory and sweet cakes with almonds, arròs amb ceba i carabassa (rice with almonds and carob)...
ACTIVE TOURISM
The 15 km of coastline, with 13 beaches and coves, invite you to discover the seabed by snorkeling, diving and visiting the largest underwater Roman shipwreck excavation in the Mediterranean, or enjoy many nautical activities: sailing, kayaking, paddle surfing...
On the other hand, the surrounding nature offers you the possibility of discovering unique landscapes by bike, or simply by walking, which will take you from cliffs that cut the sea to inland landscapes to enjoy the traditional flora and fauna of the Mediterranean.
